Curelo is an online cloud-based platform for lab sample collections. We are an aggregator platform which forms a link between the patients, their choice of labs and phlebotomists, for the sample collection process. We handle the end-to-end supply chain i.e. from the blood sample collection to the dispatch of the reports. Here, patients can search and discover laboratories of their choice to book a test at a time and place of their convenience. Our USPs are time-bound collection and delivery of samples as well as reports facilitated with standardized services and optimized logistics. We aid diagnostic labs by taking care of sample collection from any location for them, allowing empanelled labs to expand their reach to patients beyond their immediate local area. We also ease the process for all the patients by providing time bound services at their preferred time, in their preferred labs that too at lower rates.

What is the problem that the startup is solving?

Lab Sample collection is very unorganized in India. A user needs to collect a phone number, call a lab directly and ask for appointments. Most of the Labs in India do not have sufficient manpower for home collection of test samples nor have the bandwidth to do it in a stipulated time frame. In the end, a user ends up getting the lab reports late at an elevated price or sits in a queue at the hospital/ lab, getting themselves exposed to the people whose medical wellbeing is unknown.

Also, with increasing nuclear families and increasing working professionals, there are major issues of communications and logistics for the people from the old age group (due to travelling issues) and working professionals (due to tight work schedules). 

Finally, there are certain labs that have the capacity to process/ analyse the blood sample but do not have the bandwidth to collect the blood samples, thus operating below their maximum capacity.

How does your startup propose to solve this problem?

There are 3 stages in a Sample collection process: 

Stage 1: Pre Analytical Stage: Booking and collections of samples of blood, urine, etc.

Stage 2: Analytical stage: Lab analysis and report generation.

Stage 3: Post Analytical Stage: Providing the right reports to the right patients at the right time which includes both, hard and soft copies.

Curelo is a one-stop solution for patients and the labs where the whole supply chain, phlebotomists, their training, logistics for sample collection and logistics for report dispatch will be handled by us. This means, we holistically handle stage 1 and stage 3 of the whole Diagnostic testing journey for the lab. This will minimize the extra efforts put in by the labs and the inconveniences faced by the patients. The labs can focus their energy and manpower on in-house operations and quality control whereas the patients who desire to get blood samples collected at home will get the utmost feasibility, standard operating procedures and time-bound services. 

Senior citizens, and their family members can fill in their details, make a profile on PhleboIndia and can book the tests sitting in any corner of the world. For working professionals, the phlebotomists can come to their home or workplace at the fixed time which is suitable for them considering their work schedule. 

We also provide phlebotomists with live GPS tracking as a service to the labs who have a bandwidth to analyze more blood samples but do not have the bandwidth for blood sample collection.

There are 5 revenue streams that the startup will operate on:

1. Commissions: The labs collaborate with us on a commission basis where PhleboIndia would be charging a certain amount on every lab test booked from our website.
2. Standard Collection Service: PhleboIndia will charge a certain amount for all the leads generated by the labs followed by a collection of samples by our in-house Phlebos.
3. In-App Ads: Promotions and Advertisements on the app as well as the website for certain labs and other medical services.
4. Premium Listing: Premium listing fees, Lab promotions and featured labs. 
5. Subscriptions: Subscription fees for the patients who need to carry out regular tests
