Choosing a career is not an easy task to accomplish. The starting point to make a choice is to know about one’s own self or evaluate one’s personal interests and values. This Career Assessment is a comprehensive test. It will make the student understand his/her strengths and areas of improvement. It will enable the student to make a well understood, close to heart decision for his/her career. Mapping a career path also becomes more attainable if the following three areas of career assessment are focused on:

Interest: What you WANT to do?

It is the feeling or a desire to know or learn about something. This feeling can be part of your curiosity towards certain activities which you like to do.

Personality: What you SHOULD do?

What you are inside reflects outside. Your nature is a combination of your personality and values during different situations.

Aptitude: What you CAN do?

It refers to the natural ability or sense of skills that you are born with.Aptitude can be developed over a period of time. Our aptitude is reflection of our likings and skills we use to pursue them.

There is a commonly used term USP: Unique Selling Point.

This is such a beautiful term that we can choose to apply it to ourselves. There is a difference between two individuals which is visible to everyone. This difference is because of the situations we have faced during our upbringing and the values seeded at an early age. This difference makes an individual unique, which is why it becomes one’s USP. It is very important for one to know his/her uniqueness. Unless one knows it, one cannot use it to one’s advantage, and cannot act to the benefit of it. It is not a superpower, but whatever it is, it can for sure be used to have the great life one keeps imagining.
