National Textile Corporation Limited (NTC) is a Central Public Sector Undertaking, under the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India which was incorporated in April 1968. NTC currently has 23 mills out of which it has modernized 18 mills and has set up 3 Composite Textile Units (Green field projects) in Achalpur (Maharashtra), Hassan (Karnataka – SEZ area) and Ahmadabad (Gujarat).
NTC is already catering to the textile requirements of various Ministries, Central and State Governments, Public Sector Undertakings, etc. since long. NTC owns successful brands like Finlay, Entyce and RAASA and retail these products at more than 82 companies owned retail showrooms.
The Company in next five years will be doubling the capacity of spindles and looms and has also diversified into Technical Textiles thus, move towards forward integration and backward integration. The Company is leading the path to achieve its mission – “To Be a Leading Textile Enterprise Steadily Improving Capacity Utilization, Economy of Operations, Productivity, Quality, Brand Image and Market Share & Export.”
NTC is renovating its existing stores, including new merchandise. NTC is re-launching its Home Textile Brand “RAASA” and will distribute it through a women empowerment initiative of “StreeVijay”.
NTC is also opening up NTC franchisee stores across India by the name “Indian Republic”. NTC has opened its first flagship store “Brand India” in Mumbai and more stores are scheduled to be opened in the coming year.
