Alphakids Learning Centres (ALC) Pvt Ltd was launched in 2009 by one of the founding families of Camlin Ltd (now Kokuyo Camlin Ltd). Camlin Ltd is one of the pioneers in education stationery with a legacy of 80+ years. The Goenka family, the co-founders of a premium international school, and also involved in chemicals and renewable energy, now have a majority stake in ALC Pvt Ltd.
ALC is an umbrella organisation that has two major divisions - Alphakids International preschools is one of the most renowned preschool chains in India and has been recently ranked among the top 4 by Education World in its latest survey. Alphakids International has its three existing centres in premium Mumbai locations - Lokhandwala, Juhu and Dadar. ALC Pvt Ltd has recently started franchising the preschool brand and has already received a huge response. The upcoming centers are in Kohlapur, Pune, Bangalore and Pondicherry.
ALC's second major division, Bellwether International, will be the first of its kind in the K-12 international schooling space focusing on building children's thinking skills while working with equal emphasis on their minds, hearts and souls enabling them to adapt to a futuristic environment. Alphakids International Preschool and Bellwether International K-12 are driven by ALC’s proprietary pedagogy, "Asteria."
