Startup Village ties up with Getit Infomedia to support start-ups

Startup Village, India's first PPP model mobile-internet technology business incubator, has teamed up with leading digital information service provider Getit Infomedia, to provide technical and marketing support to startups aspiring to make it big in the Indian and Asian markets.

As part of the partnership, Getit has launched a 'ScaleIQ Innovation Zone' at Startup Village in Kalamassery here. This is aimed at providing unlimited market access and mentoring to the startups.

"With Startup village attracting applications from across the country, the scale of operations at the village now provides leading technology companies a single window access to talent. We are happy to have Getit on board,” said Sanjay Vijayakumar, Chairman, Startup Village.

The partnership with Getit will help the startups to explore the market and gain access to different business verticals, he added.

Jaspreet Bindra, Chief Executive Officer, Getit Infomedia, said: 'We will initially select 15 startups from a list of 100 and they will receive mentoring and technical support from us. We will help the companies gain market access through our vast network of consumers and business houses which will help the startups accelerate their growth'.

The startups will also be able to access the company's expertise, application-programming interface (API), GMT Gateways etc. Besides these, Getit will provide the innovation zone with equipment, including two Apple desktop computers, two Apple laptops and one high quality printer.

"Associating with companies such as Getit Infomedia will enable us to expand our network to include a wider stakeholder group", said Pranav Kumar Suresh, Chief Executive Officer, Startup Village. "Such collaborations will help increase interaction between the start-up ecosystem and the industry", he added.

This partnership will enable start-ups that are ready to take their products or services to the market through the existing networks that Getit Infomedia already has.

Getit Infomedia is one of the largest digital supermarkets and services providers in India, having in-depth listing of businesses and extensive reach among SMEs. The company now operates out of more than 100 cities in India with more than 1000 Feet on Street (FOS) catering to the needs of local SMEs and consumers.
