YatraGenie, an online travel portal from Paxterra Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, has launched a cab service for the city of Nellore in Hyderabad and is in the process of extending the initiative to a few more tier 2 cities in the coming months.
The Union Minister for Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu launched the service and graced the ceremony in Nellore.
While addressing the gathering, Naidu appreciated the enterprise of Renil Komitla, CEO, YatraGenie cabs (Komitla Group), for his first baby step towards bringing a world-class travel experience to Nellore and creating employment for the people here. Welcoming the move, the Union Minister stated that the initiative was in line with the message from the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi who wants "India to be on par with the developed countries in the transportation segment".
The new cab service comprises of a fleet of 100 cars and will bring respite to the residents of Nellore. Addressing the recent blips on security concerns raised, the company said YatraGenie cabs are fully equipped with GPRS/GPS location tracking services, panic button inclusive, in addition to complying with the security and transportation norms regulated by the government of India to ply cab services in the country.
Owned by Paxterra Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, YatraGenie.com aims to cover major Indian cities for bus travel and radio taxi services to certain segments of South India. The company is poised to expand services into airlines, hotels and logistics management by end of the fiscal year 2015-16.
Founded by Renil Komitla (President and CEO) in the year 2008, Paxterra deals with customers from areas like telecom, manufacturing, semiconductors, transportation, insurance, retail, oil and gas, sports, travel and tourism, hospitality, banking and entertainment industries.
