The company manufactures and markets an extensive portfolio of skin-care, hair-care and body-care products under the VLCC Natural Sciences brand.It also provides aesthetic dermatology services, beauty treatments and weight management solutions across a network of 210 clinics globally, of which 20 clinics are in the GCC region, including 3 in Doha.

In addition, VLCC also operates 100 skill development institutes in India, making it one of the largest providers of vocational training in the beauty and wellness sector in the country.

.Franchise business model has helped expand VLCC’s reach and visibility pan India to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and towns. Currently, VLCC Beauty & Wellness Clinics and VLCC Institutes of Beauty & Nutrition operate in over 125 cities in India.

On having a woman leader as a mentor or inspiration, Vandana says, “ My greatest inspiration has always been my mother. Looking back, I feel she was a woman ahead of her times. She always instilled in me a sense of independence and made me feel that if I made up my mind, I could do anything. She also practiced yoga regularly, took good care of herself and was very particular about the family’s diet, which sowed the seeds of my interest in health and beauty at an early age.

Having said that, my entrepreneurial journey could not have even started, let alone been successful, without the proactive encouragement and support Mukesh, my husband, who always had more belief in my abilities than I did.

Moreover, I have also drawn inspiration from the work of women business leaders such as Dame Anita Roddick, the founder of The Body Shop.”
