StayHappi Pharmacy with its ambitious plan to make such medicines available in the most remote corners of India

To provide high quality medicines at an affordable price – that is the philosophy which drives the business of StayHappi Pharmacy, and it’s something that has stood them in good stead. In essence, it is a retail pharmacy for generic medicines, which have the same quality as branded medicines but at 30-90% lower prices. “Our business model is futuristic in the sense that we introduce generic medicines, as they are llknown internationally, to the Indian market for the first time,” says Arushi Jain, Project Head, StayHappi.

The Indian pharmaceuticals market has branded medicines and branded generic medicines but the concept of generic generic, i.e. medicines which are sold without any branding and price premium is what StayHappi Pharmacy provides to Indian consumers. Currently, StayHappi has its pharmacies across India in cities like Delhi, Chennai, Haridwar, Jind, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Puducherry, Erode, Panipat and many more. “We are looking to expand to 15,000 retail stores by 2022 and reach every nook and corner of the country,” she says.

StayHappi Pharmacy, as the name suggests, is about a dream to see everyone happy and healthy. It is also about a mission to reach out with medicines at low prices to millions of Indians across the country in cities, towns and villages as well as arrange to provide proper medical consultation and safe laboratory diagnostics. “A large chunk of our country’s population has a tough time fulfilling the basic necessities of life such as food, shelter and water. We wish to ensure that these strata of the society also have access to quality medicine with the help of our initiative,” she says.
