MAKING PROMOTIONS AS ‘CATCHY’ AS CAN BE

MAKING PROMOTIONS AS ‘CATCHY’ AS CAN BE

Steve Jobs once said, “Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something.” Contrary to this thought, Reva Calson, CEO Asia, Catchy Pixels, always thought creativity was about coming up with original ideas but it soon turned out that Jobs was right and creativity is really just about making new connections between existing ideas. This was pretty exciting for Reva, because now creativity suddenly seemed less scary for her and so, through her business that specializes in providing clients and agency partners with interesting, influential and incredibly impressive outdoor advertising solutions, she could connect all things that already exist and help brands connect with their viewers using captivating and engaging marketing messages.

Catchy Pixel’s product design converts a mobile LED screen advertising billboard to a super impressive big LED display for events. Driven by the passion for new ideas and innovation, the brand provides impressive and effective brand encounters and immersive promotion strategies. “Cause marketing, close range marketing (CRM), relationship marketing, transactional marketing, word-of-mouth marketing, viral marketing, mass marketing, online marketing and email marketing are some of the tools we use to create and strategize every brand encounter and ensure that the promotion is better and different from the last one,” Reva reveals.

While the price tag for their licensee or customer works out to Rs 41,000, which is a single price range for one time, the price tag for licensor or advertiser is Rs. 35 (GST excluded) per minute per LED for 18 days in a month. Talking about the kind of franchisees they are looking out for to take their business forward, Reva shares, “We are looking for disciplined, self-starters who are determined and possess strong work ethics and passion, dream big and have a clear vision of what they want to achieve.”

The Way Ahead

Discussing the plan to scale up Catchy Pixel, Reva says, “I don’t want a lifestyle business. I want a business that has a product or service that’s replicable and could run itself at a very large scale without me being there and whether there is currently a high demand for what I am selling today versus next week or next year, I need to structure this business in a way that’s highly systematic and not overly dependent on any particular individual.”
