TAKING KIDS ON A JOURNEY OF LEARNING WITH JOY

Children construct their understanding of the world through experiences and preschools tend to be their first outdoor terrain where the initial learning and exploration of the outside world takes place. Today’s parents are way more aware and want only the best for their child which has given a boost to this industry and also led to stiff competition in the segment. The industry has also witnessed a huge shift from being a fragmented unorganised sector to organised branded preschools trying to tap the potential market. And Petals Preschool is one such brand that understands the need to offer an innovative curriculum-based programme for children, focusing on promoting the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of each child.

It started in 2003 when Preeti Kwatra, Founder, Petals Group of Schools, laid its foundation with just five kids. “The entire journey has been extremely satisfying. The brand’s growth and success over the past few years have been remarkable. We started with one school and steadily raised the number to 50+ institutes. We owe it to our franchise partners as well. Entrepreneurship can be tough and a long journey for many people. I still continue to learn and grow,” maintains Mrs. Kwatra. Petals Preschool follows a unique curriculum which integrates a play-based approach, thus resulting in a rich learning environment that ensures children have a healthy head-start upon entering kindergarten, both academically and socially. Says Mrs. Kwatra, “We aim to offer the perfect mix of joy, knowledge and learning for all our young learners. Petals School Kids Activities is an amazing combination of laughter, colour, friendship, learning and happiness.”

MOVING AHEAD

While the brand has achieved tremendous success today, it was not without its share of challenges. But Mrs. Kwatra always took them as learning tools which made her stronger and more determined. Going forward, Petals Preschool is looking to expand through the franchise route. “Our maximum franchisee owners are women who have got the same vision towards education as me. We see great potential in franchising and it is great to see the same curriculum and patterns being replicated in all our preschools,” she concludes.
