ON THE RIGHT PATH WITH RAYMOND

Launched in FY 2017-18, what positive changes has the Mini TRS ushered in while coping with changing retail consumers’ landscape in Telengana?
The Mini TRS concept helped us penetrate into emerging towns. Earlier Raymond was in bigger format stores for the Hyderabad kind of market. Now with the Mini TRS we can cater to the customers in emerging towns. The response from the customers has been great as everything is now available in their own towns and they do not have to travel to bigger cities to get the Raymond products.

How well has this venture panned out for you so far and what significant training did you receive under the brand that polished your business skills further?
My manpower has been trained very well by Raymond and they closely monitor the staff for three months in terms of how is the store doing and how is the staff coping up as well as plugging in the gaps professionally, etc. They take personal care towards the newly launched Mini TRS and I am very happy with Raymond in that case. With Raymond, everything is streamlined; they have an answer for all queries from beforehand, they know from their experience of Mini TRS in the past of what works in their case and what doesn’t and the software that they provide and their stock mapping is all very professional.

What is your strategy to retain the customers?
In Raymond’s case, most of the sales come from repeated customers. We give a belated experience to the customers and cater to all sorts of requirements at the store. We pass down special offers occasionally and give them personal attention to retain them.

How deep do you intend to penetrate and expand in the coming years?
I am looking to expand in multiple towns. I have proposed eight more stores and already have two of them, one in Manchierial and the other at Nalgonda now. So a total of 10 more stores in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are on the radar within the next two years.
