Extracurricular activities are not only developing student’s skills but also helping in building up the other side at the workstation and in the society
It is essential for children to get involved in activities of diverse interests. Extra-curricular activities allow students to explore various interests they have and it further improves their self-esteem. Activities like sports or athletic are the most popular interest. Parents reported that about 90 per cent of their school-age children watch TV, movies, or play videos, and around 79 per cent play games on electronic device and a few have participated in religious instruction, taken music, dance, art lessons or done volunteer work.
How education helps
Sport is regarded as one of the largest industries globally in terms of employment and revenue. Sports education brings educational principles into the field of sports. “Schools are trying to provide a holistic education. We are helping schools do the same through the magic of sports. Sports have always been an integral part of education. Providing the in-school sports programmes, in most schools, has not been inclusive, age-appropriate and has therefore not engaged all kids. If you help children learning the right skills and the right fitness at the right age, they will enjoy playing sport. And they will, therefore, seek out opportunities to play. In the absence of learning the right skills and right fitness, only the naturally talented kids enjoy playing. The rest have fun playing video games or not playing at all. If you consider the goal of education to develop a child into a well-rounded adult, who can productively work with others in society, sports education is a critical goal. Through sports education, the child learns key life-skills like teamwork, discipline, hard work, dealing with failure, etc that are critical for success – in adult life as well as in handling the pressures of growing up. Sports education is not just only about sports. Parents and school leaders now view sports as an integral part of education that helps building fitness and also helps in improving social skills,” stated Saumil Majmudar, Co-Founder and CEO, Edusports.
Dancing is the physical exercise, the best stress-buster one can indulge into. Danceworx Academy was set up in 1998 by Indian-Australian choreographer Ashley Lobo to teach dancing. Dance contributes towards physical growth, creativity, mental growth, and spiritual growth. In addition to exposing students to western forms of dancing, the Dance-in-Education programme educates about career opportunities in arts, onstage and backstage, as well as helps the students develop valuable life skills. The programme offers overall physical development of an individual. The programme emphasizes on boosting self-confidence and helping individuals getting in touch with their emotions and expressing them through dance moves. The programme includes exercises to help individuals on a path of self-discovery. The programme helps to instill social graces and etiquette.
The franchisee bond
Franchising in education helps to improve the education of children in need. “Sporty Beans franchisee is a moderate investment opportunity offering attractive pack back and impressive returns.
The brand has multiple revenue sources which add to the earning potential of a franchisee. Management has created a franchise development programmed to guide and support its franchisees in efficiently operating their centers,” shared L.N. Reddy, Owner, SportyBeans.
Similarly, S.K. Verma, MD, Tansen Sangeet, said: “Tansen Sangeet holds quarterly conferences in which existing franchisee come and discuss the issues and experiences, while running the franchised outlets. The brand is the first in its segment to make it big and which is leading globally.
