ULAFIX is a fully automated auto care services app, initiated by Greenbird IT Services Pvt. Ltd. It aims to help everyone who owns an automobile with its auto servicing or maintenance tasks. Auto owners often go to the same service station without having the convenience of shopping around or find a perfect schedule.
The brand automates the process of broadcasting the service needs to the service stations and let them bid for a service. A user has an option to "pick" his choice while he can review the profile and ratings of the station. Whole process for creating a request, broadcasting to the stations, stations bidding and user picking his choice is done easily with a click on the web and touch on a smartphone.
Franchising; preferred route
The company wanted to launch the product into the market but active participation from the service stations was needed at multiple locations. Since, it was a herculean task to do all operations from the HQ side; the brand chose to go with the franchise model. For its expansion, ULAFIX seeks potential franchisees could be anyone who has a passion to make money but familiarity with car/2wheeler servicing services is preferred. However, no technical background is needed as the company itself provides all sorts of training programme to the franchisees that is required to be successful.
Entrepreneurial journey
This Hyderabad- based auto care services brand would like to go international within three to five years. “Green Bird IT Services is my IT company that is behind developing this app service model. ULAFIX has been my dream project envisioned around five years ago. Although, I had MS in Computer Science and 15 years of US IT experience in Oracle area, I had very minimal knowledge about what goes behind an online venture. To learn all the things that go behind an online project, I bought out Green Bird media, a San Diego, CA based company. Later, I set up GBIT in Hyderabad in 2013 and started full scale operations to develop ULAFIX project. I'm very happy about each of my steps which solidified my idea and now we are in the market,” says Nagesh Kondoori, Managing Director, Greenbird IT Services Pvt. Ltd.
