I am a retired personnel. Will the business of beauty and health via franchising be the right option for me as I don't hold any professional background in the same field?

Most of our franchise partners, though new to the beauty industry manage extremely well and have gone on to become multi-unit franchise partners with us. We provide an entire framework of Standard Operating Procedures which the franchise partner merely needs to follow. All systems are in place and we guide franchise partners in all matters like choosing the perfect location, setting up the salon from scratch, interior design work, product sourcing and equipment, recruitment and training of staff, right up to the launch of the salon. After the launch, we guide the franchise partner with full support till they break even.

Does your brand offers any funding assistance to the new franchisees?

How can a franchisee- franchisor relationship grow strong with each passing year of the agreement?

There are always expectations on both sides in a franchise agreement. From the franchise partner end, they will expect constant training, a strong recruitment process to supply staff whenever required, good marketing activities (both ATL and BTL), a competent Operations team to take care of daily matters and immediate responses from the corporate office. From Groom India's end, we will expect a franchise partner to follow all the rules of the franchise agreement and use appproved products with trained staff. We feel when both franchisee and franchisor meet the expectations of the other, the relationship can only grow stronger with every passing year.

Apart from hidden costs, what else should a franchisee be aware of?

The franchise partner should be aware of the competition around the salon. It is always wise to know what other salons are offering and the rates involved. Also, the franchise partner should ensure his staff are up to date on latest techniques by ensuring they receive sufficient training and that they try to keep up with new trends through digital media.
