From a business man to a Multi-unit franchisee for one of the most reputed diagnostic chains, Dr Lal PathLabs, Ratnadeep Mallick is growing fast with the brand.

In an interaction with TFW'S Ekta Sharma Verma, he shared his experiences with Dr Lal PathLabs and what it takes to be a successful franchisee.

Share your entrepreneurial journey. What motivated you to take franchise for the brand?

I took franchise for Dr Lal PathLabs four years ago in Kolkata and I am very satisfied with the decision I took. Earlier, I was into business and today also, I handle my education centres and interior work company easily with the franchise outlets of

Dr Lal PathLabs. Since it's a highly reputed brands company, it gives you freedom to work with full confidence.

According to you, what is the most important element to be a successful franchisee?

I think hard work and dedication are the most important aspects to be a successful franchisee for any brand. You have to do a lot of home work and since it's a service sector opportunity, you have to assure the customers of the best in class services.

Where do you see yourself five years down the line?

Five years from now, I see myself owning two more franchise outlets for Dr Lal PathLabs and growing ahead.

What kind of training and support does your franchisor offer you?

Dr Lal PathLabs has always offered me full support. I was given 15 days of training in Kolkata. Currently, they offer full marketing and advertising support also. The brand conducts regular seminars and every three months there is a training session where we get to meet lot of doctors and customers.

What is the best thing about your franchisor and the brand?

The brand generates perfect reports. Our reports are so ideal that no doctor can challenge our sincerity. People trust us and this is what motivates us to work even better.

Any advice to budding entrepreneurs.

Before taking the franchise rights of any brand, first gather knowledge about the brand. Do a lot of survey work, and home work before signing for the franchise. Those who research first are the ones who always succeed.
