Biz of developing garbhasanskar, franchising way

Having expertise in the field of prenatal care, Dr Yogesh Joshi, M.D, Garbhasanskar Antenatal Services Pvt. Ltd. is now venturing into different business model to strengthen its franchise network pan India.

In conversation with Yamini S Verma, he shares his expansion plans ahead.

At what point of time you thought of expanding the brand’s presence via the franchise route? 

After implementing the programme for two years in one center we decided to expand our services through franchising. This was decided in a view to give a universal and  structured programme for  pregnant ladies. I alone could not have been able to conduct the sessions at various places; it’s then that we decided to develop a network of people who can implement this programme in their regions /areas. In next five years, we have a plan to spread and develop the centers in all metros, tier- I, II  and III cities pan-India. We have a vision to develop a franchise network where the pregnant lady will get a universal programme of Garbhasanskar (prenatal care service).

What kind of business opportunity do you offer to the potential franchisees and where do you foresee it in next five years.

Garbhasanskar is a unique programme for pregnant ladies. We through our business would offer the potential business opportunity to the entrepreneurs. Along with the financial benefits, the business also has a social value, which will help the future generation of India to build in a proper way. This business will help the entrepreneurs to present themselves as a part of man building and  nation building activity. As there are no such type of centers so far which provide a structured programme of prenatal services, Garbhasanskar foresees a vast demand of such programmes that will help the pregnant ladies.

Brief us about your entrepreneurial journey so far.

I am working on Garbhasanskar since five years. After working on various modules, we frizzed our operations on franchising business model. We had to educate people and create awareness among the society for the benefits of the Garbhasanskar process. After successfully implementing our module for last 1.5 years, we now are in the state of replicating the module  via  franchising. Initially, starting alone on this project at my center, I have now built a company through which we are operating three units while another one is in the pipeline.

Share with us the growth of your brand along with training and support offered to franchisees.

Till now, we have developed the contents and standard operating procedures, training teams for yoga, music therapy and sanskar sessions for the pregnant ladies at every center.  We have now standardised our training modules after seeing a vast demand of prenatal care services programmes in the society. We have more than 500 ladies those who have been benefited through our services. Apart from this, we also provide online services to those patients who cannot travel along with proper marketing support and training sessions to the franchisees. We will provide support to conduct workshops and promotional programmes.
