What inspired you to take the franchise of Diet Mantra?

Diet Mantra is a nationwide chain of diet and wellness clinics. The brand is associated with India's leading nutritionist, author & wellness expert, Namita Jain. This inspired me to start my journey with two Diet Mantra clinics in Ludhiana. Moreover, as a standalone dietitian, I was not able to reach out to masses. The association with the brand boosted in me the confidence from day one that now I would be able to reach out to masses effectively.

What kind of potential do you see in the diet and wellness industry?

The wellness market in India has witnessed a remarkable transformation over the years, probably due to change in the lifestyle of the middle class population of the society. Globalisation and increasing awareness about different types of available services have made people aware and they want to look smarter, younger and gorgeous. For that they skip meals and eat supplements to lose weight.

How has your journey been with Diet Mantra? For how long have you been associated with the brand?

My journey with Diet Mantra began on May 14, 2012, when Femina Miss India, Vanya Mishra, launched my two Diet Mantra franchise outlets in Ludhiana. My conviction in the brand grew stronger when Diet Mantra became the official nutrition partners with Femina Miss India 2012.  It was a moment of pride for me to be associated with Diet Mantra.

What is the most important element to be a successful franchisee?

As any entrepreneur would know, an inspirational business concept is only the beginning of a long and complicated journey, marked by unexpected obstacles at every turn. A successful franchisee must possess an unshakable belief in his or her franchisor and the ability to persevere when others might give up. I kept mine for Diet mantra, and within seven months of operation, Diet Mantra Ludhiana has become a very reputed clinic in the wellness space in Ludhiana and its surrounding areas.

What kind of training and support is provided by your franchisor?

Diet Mantra as a brand has been very innovative in its approach to build up the brand value and aspiration quotient. The brand organises regular training and refresher training sessions for a franchisee and his team regarding processes, technology, sales and marketing skills. To ensure high standards of quality and healthy results, Namita Jain herself provides training to dieticians. She also provides weekly tips for effective results. Moreover, the brand assists in selection and recruitment of its franchisees' staff and an initial training is provided to the franchisees and their staff about various services they will be providing.
