Discuss in brief your entrepreneurial journey.

We have been instrumental in introducing Liberty Shoes Ltd in the domestic market. Our journey started as distributors coupled with exclusive retail showroom from Kurukshetra, Haryana. In a nutshell, it has been a wonderful journey both professionally and personally with Liberty Shoes Ltd.

What inspired you to take the franchise of Liberty Shoes?

The bright future prospect of the company and their vision for the growth of the people who are associated with them, motivated us to acquire its franchise.

How has been your journey with Liberty Shoes?

We started our entrepreneurial voyage from Kurukshetra, Haryana. After that we expanded in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat. We have distribution network and a chain of retail showrooms.

How has been the growth so far?

We have been growing rapidly on an average of 25 to 30 per cent depending upon the financial scenario.

What's the most important element to be a successful franchisee?

Presentation of the store, always upgrading the store as and where require, proper management of inventory and in store merchandise.

How many franchise outlets do you have and how do you manage them?

We have seven exclusive Liberty Shoes Ltd, five in Bengaluru and two in Shimoga. All the stores are connected with R Pro software to visualise sales and inventory tracking that makes us easy to monitor and operate them. Also, we have separate store manager for each outlet supported by an efficient sales team and headed by operation head.

Share the importance of training in a franchise model.

Training enhances the efficiency of the franchisee. Training assisted us in grasping the knowledge about footwear retail business.

What is the best thing about your franchise brand and the franchisor?

I will sum it up in one line: High growth trajectory with ever evolving personal relationship as I had full liberty with Liberty.

Where do you see yourself five years down the line?

We are climbing the ladder of success by setting new standards of franchise network with our brand and utilising it as the best business option in the market.

Do you plan to open more outlets of the same brand or any other brand?

We have plans to add big stores with Liberty Shoes Ltd.
