How did Koochie Play Systems come into being? What is your global presence.
Koochie Play Systems (KPS) is a manufacturer of world-class playground equipments and meets international standards in terms of quality, aesthetics, product life design, planning and execution and most importantly, child safety. The unique aspect of Koochie playgrounds is animation. All Koochie systems come with animated roofs, panels, slides, etc, which sets Koochie distinct from all other playground brands.
KPS was incorporated in India in 2003 with its headquarters in Bengaluru and regional offices in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Pune. The brand was then taken to United Arab Emirates, Morocco, South Africa, Lebanon and Syria with 11 offices and over 365 employees worldwide.
What are your requirements from the franchisees?
The initial franchise unit investment would be Rs 20 to 25 lakh. The franchisee receives stocks for this entire amount. The working capital required in unit franchise, in addition to this, would be between Rs 60,000 to 1 lakh. Exclusive territorial rights are given to a unit franchise. The anticipated percentage of return on investment (RoI) will be 24 to 30 per cent.
The likely payback period of capital for a unit franchise would be immediate, as there is no capital investment in terms of plant or machinery. The only major investment will be in stocks, hence the RoI will be immediate, as soon as their sale commences. For setting up an office, the franchisee would require an area of 300 to 450 sq.ft whereas for a warehouse, it is between 2,000 to 3,000 sq.ft.
What kind of training and support will a franchisee get from you?
After appointing a franchisee, one personnel from our top management team will visit the franchisee's office to meet his entire team and run a full-fledged workshop on the brand, product, marketing training and on understanding the design requisites of our product range. In addition to this, the franchisee's installation team will be invited to see the actual installation taking place, wherein our installation team will give them a hands-on training. Our franchisee will enjoy KPS's design support (out of our office in Chennai) in terms of AutoCAD designing that our customers need from time to time. The entire support is given online wherein a franchisee sends his base plans (that their clients give them) to our design office in Chennai through e-mail, and then our design team does the layout and sends it back. All our franchisees will be given a franchisee support buddy personnel, who will be their one-point contact for all their requirements.
What are your expansion plans?
Koochie Play Systems intends to penetrate into South America, African and Arabian region, Eastern Europe and GCC countries. Under the able guidance of its management, Koochie has established a strong and extensive service delivery chain across key cities in India and abroad.
