Throw some light on the genesis of Vati Consulting.

What are the challenges that the Indian employment industry is facing today?

Market dynamics have changed over the last few months. Almost every sector is hiring, which makes it difficult for companies to source and retain right talent, especially those who have some specific technology or, domain expertise. Time to hire and engage is shrinking at the same time productivity pressures, client expectation and price-pressure is increasing. The biggest challenge therefore, is to build a Recruitment Team which can deliver in the shortest time, with the lowest costs and highest quality of hire. Challenge is to deliver consistently as per the business fluctuation and market needs. We customise our solutions to meet the above challenges.

What types of services do you offer?

We offer an integrated services portfolio which comprises of Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), permanent and temporary hiring services, turnkey solutions and off campus training programmes. All these services are customised as per the client need.

What was the reason behind venturing into franchising?

Indian economic growth is no longer restricted to metros or only tier-I cities. It's gone much beyond to tier- II, III and rural areas. Every organisation which sells and operates PAN India needs to recruit and retain the best talent in each of these locations. In addition to this, even hiring for positions in metros or tier-I cities, one can look at the resource pool situated in distant locations. One needs an organised and focussed approach towards untapped potential. With tier II and tier III cities growing rapidly and having access to better education and lifestyle, a wider pool of talent is being produced. Vati aims at exploring this potential and offering our clients a wider area of service and untapped talent with higher penetration, through the franchising route. Franchisees across locations will owned and run by local entrepreneurs who will be able to predict and manage the local dynamics better. We want to pass on these specific benefits to our corporate customers who hire PAN India.

How many centres are you planning to open by the end of this fiscal?

We started this journey in the last of Sept 2010 and as of now; the company has opened its first franchise outlet in Bengaluru. We are planning to open 29 centres in South India in the next six months. We will open centres in every state capital, district headquarters. We will have at least 100 centres in the next 12 months.
