The Future Group, owner of Pantaloons and Big Bazaar, is seeking assistance from Mckinsey & Co. on the group\'s future growth plans.
Apart from this, McKinsey's has the mandate to recommend a model which will help the group attain its turnover target of US $ 7 billion (Rs 30,000 crore) by 2010. McKinsey has decided to help the Future Group in their future growth. It plans to give advice on critical issues like streamlining Future Group's operations and ways of handling and growing its businesses. It will also work on developing an organization model, its preservation and identify the key skills required for the growth process as the group plans to increase its manpower strength to 1.5 lakh people by 2010. The group has even plans relating to the expansion in its retail space, from 35 lakh sq.ft to 400 lakh plus sq.ft. The company is looking forward to generate revenues of Rs 1,500 crore by 2010. As the company has huge expansion plans, they want experts in the business industry to guide them on their future plans. Even the Aaditya Birla Group has appointed McKinsey to chalk out the company's retail roll out plans.
