
Zelio E Mobility, an Indian electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced a 2-year comprehensive warranty covering its entire electric vehicle lineup. Effective from April 1, 2025, the warranty applies to all purchases and covers critical components such as the motor, controller, and chassis for its two-wheeler models and the chassis for its three-wheeler e-rickshaw range.
The warranty is applicable to Zelio popular electric scooter models—X-Men, Gracy, Eeva, and Mystery, along with its three-wheeler e-rickshaws, Tanga Butterfly and Tanga SS. A key highlight is that there is no limit on kilometers driven, and the warranty is fully transferable even if the vehicle changes ownership within the warranty period.
“We believe that customer satisfaction begins after the sale,” said Kunal Arya, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Zelio E Mobility Ltd. “This warranty reflects our confidence in our engineering and sets a new standard in after-sales service across the EV industry.”
To further streamline the process, Zelio has launched a paperless warranty claim system, where customers only need to send the defective parts to receive a replacement within three working days. All warranty-related services are accessible at over 400 authorized dealerships and service centers nationwide.
Founded in 2021, Zelio is a fully Indian electric vehicle company that currently serves more than 200,000 riders. Operating through 100+ dealers, the company aims to expand its network to 1,000 dealerships by the end of 2025.
India EV market has seen significant growth, fueled by government incentives and increasing consumer interest. However, concerns over warranty and after-sales support remain a hurdle for many. Zelio’s move directly addresses these challenges, potentially setting a new industry benchmark in customer assurance and support.
