Yamaha New FZ-X Hybrid Offers Better Mileage, Smart Features
Priced at ₹1,49,990, the new FZ-X Hybrid comes with Smart Motor Generator, Stop & Start system, and smartphone connectivity through Y-Connect.

India Yamaha Motor has officially launched the 2025 FZ-X hybrid variant, featuring advanced hybrid engine technology aimed at improving fuel efficiency and offering smart connectivity features. The motorcycle is priced at ₹1,49,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available in a new Matte Titan color.

The hybrid system includes a Smart Motor Generator and Stop & Start System, which automatically shuts off the engine during idle and restarts it with a clutch pull, resulting in quieter operation and enhanced mileage. This makes the new FZ-X the second hybrid motorcycle in Yamaha’s Indian lineup after the FZ-S Fi Hybrid.

One of the key highlights is the 4.2-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster, which connects to smartphones using the Yamaha Y-Connect app. This enables turn-by-turn navigation via Google Maps, along with real-time ride and road information, improving the riding experience.

For those who prefer a conventional engine, Yamaha will continue to offer the standard FZ-X at ₹1,29,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black shades. Both variants are powered by the same 149cc air-cooled, fuel-injected engine producing 12.4PS of power at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.

In terms of safety and comfort, the FZ-X features single-channel ABS, Traction Control System, telescopic front suspension, and a seven-step adjustable Monocross rear suspension. The seat is designed with slip-resistant material and a two-level layout for added comfort.

Itaru Otani, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, said the decision to expand hybrid technology to the FZ-X model came after a strong customer response to the FZ-S Fi Hybrid. The company aims to meet the evolving needs of riders by integrating practical and connected technologies.

India Yamaha Motor, a subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. Japan, operates manufacturing facilities in Surajpur, Uttar Pradesh, and Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. Its product portfolio in India includes motorcycles ranging from 125cc to 321cc across multiple categories such as sport, naked, and scooter segments.

With the launch of the hybrid FZ-X, Yamaha reinforces its commitment to offering fuel-efficient and technologically advanced mobility solutions for Indian consumers.
