Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has strengthened its development pipeline in India while expanding its presence across Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia and Africa (EMEA), where its portfolio has crossed 750 hotels with more than 99,000 rooms.
During the first half of 2026, the hospitality group signed 25 hotels and opened 13 new properties across the EMEA region. Growth was driven by strong development activity in Türkiye, India and emerging tourism markets across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), supported by rising domestic travel, tourism infrastructure investments and increasing demand for internationally branded hotels.
India continued to rank among Wyndham's fastest-growing markets. The company signed 11 new hotels across destinations including Vrindavan, Jaipur and Khajuraho Airport Road, while also opening Ramada Encore by Wyndham Ayodhya. The expansion reflects Wyndham's strategy of increasing its presence in both established and emerging hospitality markets across the country.
Dimitris Manikis, President – EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said, "EMEA remains one of the most dynamic regions in global hospitality. We are seeing growth across a broader mix of markets than ever before, from established destinations like Türkiye to rapidly expanding markets such as India and Central Asia."
Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director – Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said, "India's hospitality growth is no longer limited to gateway cities. As infrastructure improves and new destinations emerge, we continue to expand alongside the country's evolving travel landscape. Most of our recent signings have come from new ownership groups, reflecting the increasing appeal of Wyndham's brands and owner-focused development approach."
Outside India, Wyndham continued to broaden its footprint across Türkiye, Europe and the Middle East by adding new projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, while also expanding its portfolio of branded residences.
With its EMEA portfolio now exceeding 750 hotels, the company said it will continue to drive growth through strategic partnerships, technology led operations and its global loyalty programme, Wyndham Rewards, as it strengthens its presence in high growth hospitality markets across the region.
