Volkswagen India has inaugurated a new customer facility in Patiala, Punjab, marking another significant step in its regional expansion. With this addition, the brand now operates 11 sales and 7 service touchpoints in Punjab, Chandigarh, and Panchkula.
The Patiala facility functions across two locations. The showroom is located on the Rajpura-Patiala Road and showcases four Volkswagen models including the Virtus, Taigun, and Tiguan R-Line. Notably, the Virtus and Taigun have received a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP.
The service center is situated in Chamarheri, near the Patiala Toll Plaza. It features eight service bays along with body and paint repair capabilities. Customers can also avail services like Volkswagen Express Service and Volkswagen Assistance, which offer faster turnaround and doorstep support for minor repairs and breakdowns.
Nitin Kohli, Brand Director of Volkswagen India, emphasized Punjab’s importance in the company’s national strategy. He noted that the expansion aligns with the brand’s goal of delivering German-engineered vehicles and premium customer experiences across India.
Ashok Singhal, Managing Director of Volkswagen Patiala, said the company now operates facilities in both Patiala and Bathinda. He expressed confidence that this broader presence will improve accessibility and offer enhanced service quality to customers.
Volkswagen currently retails four models in India: the Taigun, Virtus, Tiguan R-Line, and Golf GTI. Globally, the company operates in over 150 countries and is also actively developing electric mobility solutions, including the ID.3 model launched in Europe.
This expansion underlines Volkswagen’s commitment to strengthening its customer service infrastructure and improving accessibility to its vehicle portfolio across key Indian markets.
