Mercedes-Benz India has launched its first luxury showroom in Patna, spread over 16,500 sq. ft., showcasing the brand’s complete lineup.

German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz India marked its official entry into Bihar’s capital city by inaugurating its first luxury car showroom in Patna on July 21, 2025. Operated by franchise partner Landmark Cars, the facility spans 16,500 square feet and is part of the brand’s ongoing strategy to penetrate emerging markets in Eastern India.

The state-of-the-art facility offers the entire Mercedes-Benz portfolio, including flagship models like the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach, and AMG performance vehicles. The showroom also features a customer lounge, consultation areas, and a fully equipped service center with skilled technicians. Additionally, a 60 kW DC fast charger has been installed, catering to electric vehicle owners across Patna.

Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, stated that the Patna showroom signifies the growing demand for luxury vehicles in the region. He highlighted Patna as an emerging market fueled by rising consumer aspirations for premium products and experiences.

Group Landmark, founded in 1998, operates 138 automotive facilities across 31 cities in 11 states and union territories. The company has long been a key franchise partner for Mercedes-Benz in major markets such as Mumbai and Gujarat. Sanjay Thakker, Chairman and Executive Director of Group Landmark, noted that Patna's rich cultural heritage and increasing appetite for luxury made it a strategic choice for expansion.

With this launch, Mercedes-Benz now operates in 50 Indian cities with over 125 luxury touchpoints. The brand recently expanded to Agra and Jammu, and plans to open new outlets in Kanpur, Varanasi, and Udaipur in the near future.

Mercedes-Benz India completed 30 years of operations in 2024. Its manufacturing plant in Chakan near Pune, established in 2009 with an investment exceeding ₹3,000 crore, produces various models including the A-Class, C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, and electric vehicles like the EQS 580 sedan and EQS 450 SUV.

The Patna showroom follows Mercedes-Benz’s global retail format, emphasizing premium design, architecture, digital integration, and customer-centric experiences. It includes private consulting rooms, integrated media surfaces, and a vehicle handover bay equipped with eight digital display screens to ensure a seamless and personalized luxury car buying journey.
