TATA.ev Launches First 10 Mega Charging Stations Across India
TATA.ev has launched its first 10 high-speed MegaChargers across key highways and cities in India, marking the beginning of its plan to set up 500 such stations.

TATA.ev has inaugurated its first 10 Mega Charging Stations at key locations across India, marking the initial phase of its plan to establish 500 high-speed EV charging hubs nationwide by 2027. These charging stations, developed in collaboration with ChargeZone and Statiq, are strategically positioned along major highways and urban centers to support long-distance electric vehicle travel.

The newly launched stations include three on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway, four on the Delhi-Jaipur corridor, and one each on the Pune-Nashik highway, in Bengaluru, and Udaipur. Among them, a flagship 400 kW MegaCharger in Vadodara can charge up to six vehicles simultaneously, delivering a range of approximately 150 km in just 15 minutes.

Balaje Rajan, Chief Strategy Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., stated, "Fast, reliable, and accessible charging infrastructure is the need of the hour. These initial ten MegaCharger sites are the first step toward a nationwide superfast charging network."

This development follows TATA.ev’s recent commitment to installing 400,000 EV charging points by 2027, more than doubling the current infrastructure in India. The company has adopted an "Open Collaboration" framework to partner with multiple charge point operators and oil marketing companies.

To enhance user experience, the charging stations are also equipped with amenities such as restrooms, dining areas, Wi-Fi, and co-working spaces in select locations.

Statiq CEO Akshit Bansal called the initiative “a milestone in building a trusted and wide-reaching EV charging network,” while ChargeZone CEO Kartikey Hariyani emphasized delivering “fast, reliable, and accessible solutions.”

As India’s leading four-wheeler EV manufacturer, TATA.ev continues to drive the country’s electric mobility transformation, aiming to connect all major cities and eliminate range anxiety for EV users.
