TATA Starbucks is sharpening its expansion strategy with plans to deepen its presence in major metropolitan markets while extending its footprint into emerging high growth cities across India, a senior company official said on Thursday.
The announcement coincided with the opening of the company's first Starbucks Reserve store in South India, taking the total number of Starbucks Reserve outlets in the country to six.
The premium Reserve portfolio now comprises three stores in Delhi NCR and one each in Mumbai, Kolkata and South India, reflecting the company's growing focus on offering elevated coffee experiences in key markets.
According to the company, its growth strategy is centred on strengthening its network in established metro cities while capitalising on rising demand in rapidly developing urban centres. The approach aligns with its long term plans to expand its presence in India's evolving premium coffee retail market.
The inauguration of the South India Reserve store marks another milestone in TATA Starbucks' premium retail journey as it continues to broaden its high end café format and strengthen its nationwide footprint.
