Ethnic fashion brand Soch has expanded its global retail footprint with the launch of a new store in Surrey, British Columbia, further strengthening its presence in Canada. The opening marks the company's fifth international outlet and its second store in the Canadian market.
Situated in Surrey, one of Canada's largest South Asian community hubs, the 1,500 sq. ft. store features an extensive selection of ethnic and fusion wear, including silk sarees, salwar suits, tunics, kurta sets, lehengas, kaftans, and contemporary fusion styles.
With a legacy spanning more than two decades, Soch operates over 175 stores across 70 cities in India. The latest international expansion aligns with the brand's strategy to serve the growing Indian diaspora while enhancing its footprint in key overseas markets.
Commenting on the launch, Vinay Chatlani, CEO & Co-founder of Soch, said, "The Indian population in Canada has embraced Soch with remarkable warmth. With its vibrant South Asian heritage and strong sense of community, Vancouver is the perfect home for our second store in Canada, and fifth international location. This launch marks a significant milestone in our expansion journey as we continue to strengthen our presence across this market.”
As part of its international growth strategy, Soch is evaluating expansion opportunities across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the UK, and the US, targeting markets with large Indian-origin communities and increasing online engagement with the brand.
The newly launched Surrey store showcases the brand's evolving retail concept, designed to deliver a more immersive and elevated shopping experience. To further support customers in the region, Soch also operates a dedicated e-commerce platform for the Canadian market.
With this addition, the retailer's international store count has reached five, reinforcing its focus on expanding its presence across key global markets.
