Radisson Hotel Group Expands Youth Skilling Initiative in Partnership with The Job Plus and THSC
This skilling initiative is led by the Radisson People Foundation (RPF), a charitable trust launched during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Radisson Hotel Group South Asia has expanded its commitment to youth empowerment in the hospitality sector through a renewed partnership with The Job Plus and the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC). A new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to skill, certify, and place over 300 youth from underserved regions across India in hospitality roles.

The signing, held in the presence of Federico J. González, CEO of Radisson Hotel Group, builds on a successful pilot launched in May 2025. That initiative trained 308 youth from states like Jammu & Kashmir, the Northeast, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana, with over 200 already placed in leading hospitality brands. Notably, 54% of the participants were young women, highlighting the program’s focus on gender inclusion.

This skilling initiative is led by the Radisson People Foundation (RPF), a charitable trust launched during the COVID-19 pandemic. RPF has since evolved into a platform dedicated to building careers and strengthening communities through industry-relevant training.

The next phase of the program will expand to include Delhi, Shillong, Nagaland, and additional underserved regions. It will target youth from rural and agricultural backgrounds, many of whom are first-generation hospitality professionals.

“Our business is built on people. This partnership allows us to equip the next generation with the skills and confidence to thrive in hospitality,” said Federico J. González, CEO, Radisson Hotel Group.

Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director & COO, South Asia, added: “The success of our first phase — especially the strong participation of young women — proves the transformative potential of skilling and inclusion. We’re proud to build futures and stronger communities through this effort.”

Rajan Bahadur, CEO of THSC, noted: “This is not just about training; it’s about unlocking opportunities for youth to thrive in a global industry.”

Natwar Nagar, Founder of The Job Plus, said: “We are helping build not just careers, but the next generation of hospitality leaders from regions too often left behind.”

With 200+ hotels across India, Radisson Hotel Group is one of the country’s largest international hospitality operators. Through this initiative, the Group reinforces its dual mission of business leadership and social impact across India's evolving hospitality landscape.
