Nut Powder Brand Botenz Enters India, Targets Rapid Growth Over Five Years
The Botenz portfolio includes peanut, almond, cashew, pistachio and sesame powders, which can be used across smoothies, oats, yoghurt, baking, snacks and other food preparations.

With India’s demand for healthier and convenient food choices on the rise, global food innovation company Botenz has launched its range of nut powders in the country. Over the next five years, the company aims to reach approximately 1.8 lakh consumers as it works to build awareness and expand the emerging nut powder category.

The Botenz portfolio includes peanut, almond, cashew, pistachio and sesame powders, which can be used across smoothies, oats, yoghurt, baking, snacks and other food preparations. The products are also targeted at foodservice businesses, opening up opportunities across both household consumption and commercial kitchens.

The company’s entry comes amid rising consumer interest in healthy foods, clean label products, protein rich ingredients and convenient nutrition solutions. While nuts have long been a part of Indian households, nut powders remain a relatively underdeveloped category, presenting an opportunity for brands to introduce new formats and usage occasions.

As part of its India growth strategy, Botenz plans to strengthen its production capacity and establish a distribution network spanning approximately 1,200 to 1,500 retail outlets over the next five years. The expansion will be supported by regional distribution partnerships, along with digital commerce and foodservice channels.

Prashanth Nagaraj, Co-Founder and Managing Director said, "Indian consumers have long valued nuts as part of their everyday diets, while growing awareness around cleaner labels, natural nutrition and convenience is shaping how people make food choices. We see an opportunity to take this familiarity with nuts and translate it into a more versatile, accessible format that fits naturally into modern eating habits. This belief led me to co-create Botenz in India, with the ambition of building a strong category around nut powders and making India a meaningful part of Botenz’s global growth over the next five years."

Elad Lavi, Co-Founder and Global CEO said, "India is strategically important for Botenz not only because of the scale of the market, but also because it offers an opportunity to build a strong local foundation for our international growth. As we enter the market, our priority is to establish the right partnerships across retail, distribution and foodservice, while developing a deeper understanding of local consumer and business needs. We believe the experience we build in India can help shape our approach to other markets and create a strong foundation for Botenz’s next phase of international expansion."

While building its presence in India, Botenz is also looking to strengthen its position in international markets. Over the next five years, the company is targeting export revenue of approximately Rs 40 to 50 million from markets such as the UAE, Europe and the USA. Its strategy is centred on developing a strong domestic business while simultaneously expanding its global footprint across the nutrition and healthy food segments.

The company’s India entry also comes amid growing consumer interest in functional foods, plant based nutrition, healthy snacking and ingredient innovation. These categories continue to gain traction among consumers and attract increased attention and investment across the food and beverage industry.
