Montra Electric has inaugurated its first Small Commercial Vehicle (e-SCV) dealership in Coimbatore, one of Tamil Nadu’s major industrial and logistics hubs. The dealership will be operated by TVS Vehicle Mobility Solution Pvt. Ltd. as a channel partner.
Located on Kamarajar Road, Singanallur, the new showroom will showcase the EViator, a 3.5-tonne electric small commercial vehicle designed for intercity logistics, market distribution, and intra-city cargo operations. The EViator is positioned as a cost-effective and sustainable option for fleet operators and businesses.
To cater to after-sales requirements, a dedicated service and maintenance workshop has been set up on Sulur Road, Kurumbapalayam. The dealership was inaugurated by Saju Nair, CEO of Montra Electric’s e-SCV division, and Madhu Raghunath, CEO of TVS Vehicle Mobility Solution Pvt. Ltd.
Saju Nair highlighted Coimbatore’s strong industrial base and entrepreneurial environment as strategic for the electric commercial vehicle segment. Madhu Raghunath emphasized the EViator’s performance, durability, and low operating cost, making it an ideal choice for fleet modernization.
The EViator is powered by an 80 kW electric motor generating 300 Nm of torque. It offers a certified range of 245 km and a real-world range of over 170 km. Equipped with advanced telematics, it ensures over 95% uptime and comes with a 7-year or 2.5 lakh km warranty—one of the longest in India’s commercial EV segment.
Montra Electric’s portfolio also includes the 55-ton electric truck-trailer ‘RHINO,’ the ‘SUPER AUTO’ and ‘SUPER CARGO’ three-wheelers, and India’s first electric tractor, the E-27. The company is focusing on strengthening its presence in South India while expanding EV infrastructure across the country.
