In a bold rebranding move, Instamart has shed the ‘Swiggy’ prefix, signaling its evolution into a standalone quick commerce brand. The strategic shift is aimed at establishing a distinct identity as the platform scales beyond its roots in food delivery.
The move comes shortly after Zomato rebranded itself as Eternal on stock exchanges, reflecting the growing importance of quick commerce in the portfolios of food delivery giants. Swiggy CEO Sriharsha Majety noted that Instamart is poised to overtake food delivery in scale.
Launched five years ago as a convenience extension of Swiggy, Instamart has since grown into a full-scale quick commerce platform. The rebrand includes a refreshed visual identity and a renewed mission, marking its official transition into an independent player in India’s competitive q-commerce space.
