Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of three new hotels in East India—Radisson Blu Hotel Deoghar, Radisson RED Puri, and Radisson Resort & Spa Ranchi—adding a total of 400 rooms to its portfolio. This expansion aligns with the Group’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in high-potential tier-2 and tier-3 markets, driven by rising demand from spiritual, leisure, and business tourism.
In Deoghar, the Group will open the city’s first internationally branded upper-upscale hotel under the Radisson Blu brand, strategically located near Deoghar Airport and AIIMS to cater to pilgrims, medical tourists, and the growing wedding and MICE segments. In Odisha, Radisson RED Puri will debut as the Group’s first core-branded property in the state, situated near Puri Beach and designed to attract both modern leisure seekers and spiritual travelers. Meanwhile, in Ranchi, Radisson Resort & Spa will offer 175 rooms with extensive event and wellness facilities, marking the Group’s second property in the city and fifth in Jharkhand.
“With the growing momentum of spiritual, cultural, and medical tourism in India, Radisson Hotel Group is focused on staying ahead of the curve by offering world-class luxury and upscale hospitality across cities,” said Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director & COO, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group.
Davashish Srivastava, Senior Director, Development, South Asia, added, “Through a brand-right approach by offering three distinctive brands and trusted local partnerships, we aim to build a diverse and future-ready portfolio that meets the needs of today’s discerning travelers.” The projects are being developed in collaboration with Sharda Devcon Pvt. Ltd. “Partnering with Radisson Hotel Group aligns with our vision to bring high-quality hospitality experiences to emerging destinations,” said Sanjay Kumar Sharda, Director of Sharda Devcon. With this deal, Radisson’s East India portfolio grows to 13 properties—five operational and eight under development.
