IKEA India has strengthened its presence in the National Capital Region with the opening of its second store in Delhi at DLF Avenue, Saket. The new outlet was inaugurated on July 30, marking another milestone in the Swedish home furnishings retailer's expansion strategy in India.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by Hon'ble Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi; His Excellency Jan Thesleff, Ambassador of Sweden to India; Pushpa Bector, Group Executive Director, DLF Retail and Whole time Director, DCCDL; Shweta Khanna, the first customer at the IKEA Saket store; and Nitesh Singh, Store Manager, IKEA DLF Avenue, Saket.
The launch adds to IKEA's growing retail footprint in the capital and reinforces its commitment to expanding its omnichannel presence in India. The company has been steadily increasing its investments in physical stores alongside its ecommerce operations to serve customers across key metropolitan markets.
The Saket store is expected to enhance accessibility for consumers in South Delhi and the wider NCR region, offering IKEA's range of affordable home furnishing products and home solutions through a conveniently located retail destination.
