IHG Hotels & Resorts is strengthening its presence in Gujarat’s leisure hospitality market with the signing of Holiday Inn Resort Sasan Gir under a management agreement with Paix Hospitality LLP. Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2031, the 92-room property will add to the company’s portfolio in one of India’s established wildlife tourism destinations, as per media reports.
Situated in Gujarat’s Gir Somnath district, Sasan Gir is best known as the natural habitat of the Asiatic lion. The destination attracts wildlife enthusiasts and leisure travellers, supported by growing interest in experiential and domestic tourism.
The resort will offer 92 rooms, including 11 suites, along with five food and beverage outlets. It will also feature 1,366 sq. m. of meeting and event space spread across four venues, including a 1,170 sq. m. ballroom.
Additional facilities will include a swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and retail outlets. The property is being developed to cater to leisure travellers as well as demand for weddings, social gatherings and celebrations.
