
American lifestyle and sportswear brand GANT has announced Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor as its brand ambassador for the Indian market, as part of a broader push to strengthen its presence in the country. The collaboration launches alongside GANT’s latest campaign, “Button Up. Build Your Story,” which emphasizes individuality, resilience, and self-expression—values the brand says align closely with Kapoor’s personal style.
“Style, for me, is about authenticity—it’s about wearing something that reflects who you are,” said Kapoor. “GANT’s heritage and belief in progress and expression really speak to me. I’m excited to represent the brand as it continues its journey in India.”
Founded in 1949, GANT is recognized for its classic American East Coast aesthetic and operates in over 80 countries with more than 600 stores globally. The brand’s foray into India is being supported by Samarth Lifestyle, its local partner, which is planning to double GANT’s exclusive brand outlets to 50 over the next two years.
