EVeium Smart Mobility, the electric two-wheeler brand under Ellysium Automotives, has announced a strategic shift towards greater localisation in its manufacturing process. The move is aimed at cutting production costs and making the company’s premium electric scooters more affordable for Indian consumers.
The company’s flagship models—Cosmo, Comet, and Czar—are set to be relaunched with refreshed styling and upgraded features. With a majority of components now being sourced and manufactured domestically, EVeium is streamlining its supply chain and production ecosystem to deliver cost benefits without compromising on product quality.
This initiative aligns with India’s push towards clean mobility and self-reliance (Aatmanirbhar Bharat). The increased localisation is expected to enhance quality control, reduce turnaround times for product updates, and deliver greater value to customers.
Sameer Moidin, Founder and CEO of EVeium Smart Mobility, stated, “Our localisation strategy is designed to make electric mobility more accessible. While maintaining high standards of design, safety, and performance, we are working to make premium scooters more affordable without compromising on quality.”
EVeium Smart Mobility is known for producing durable, safe, and technologically advanced electric scooters. The brand continues to innovate with smart battery technology and a growing focus on using domestically produced components, helping accelerate the Indian EV sector’s growth.
