Chinese Wok has expanded its footprint to 50 cities across India with the opening of its first outlet in Belagavi (Belgaum), marking a key milestone in the brand’s growth journey. The new launch further strengthens its presence in South India, taking its regional store count to 89 locations.
With the Belagavi outlet, the brand’s network in Karnataka has grown to 38 stores. Over the last decade, Chinese Wok has evolved from a single-city operation into a nationwide chain spanning 50 cities. The company views Belagavi, an emerging Tier-II market in North Karnataka, as a promising growth destination, driven by a young consumer demographic, rising disposable incomes, and increasing preference for organised dining experiences.
Speaking on the milestone, Arvind R P, Chief Executive Officer, Lenexis Foodworks, said, “Our entry into the 50th city is an important milestone in Chinese Wok’s growth journey and reflects the increasing consumer acceptance of the Desi Chinese category across India. Over the years, we have focused on building a scalable and disciplined expansion model that combines strong unit economics with a consistent consumer experience. Belagavi is a natural addition to our network as we continue strengthening our presence across Karnataka and South India. Looking ahead, our focus remains on accelerating growth across emerging markets while building deeper category leadership through accessibility, affordability and innovation.”
The southern market remains a key growth engine for Chinese Wok, supported by strong urban consumption, a vibrant eating-out culture, and increasing adoption of organised quick-service restaurant (QSR) formats. With 89 outlets spread across the region, the brand continues to focus on a cluster-based expansion approach aimed at strengthening market penetration and driving sustainable growth over the long term.
The newly opened Belagavi outlet follows a high-street format and is designed to serve both dine-in guests and takeaway customers. The restaurant will feature Chinese Wok’s popular Desi Chinese menu, including Value Woks starting at ₹99, Hakka Noodles, its signature Kurkure Momos, the recently introduced Cheese and Schezwan Fries, and a range of combo meals tailored for families and group dining occasions.
