Strengthening its presence in South India, Chinese Wok has opened its first outlet in Calicut at Lulu Mall, marking the brand's entry into one of Kerala's fastest-growing organised food service markets.
The launch takes Chinese Wok's network in Kerala to 10 outlets and its South India footprint to 90 stores, reinforcing the company's expansion strategy across high-growth cities.
Calicut represents another strategic Tier-II market for the brand as it continues to broaden its reach across the region. With a diverse consumer base comprising residents, students, working professionals and GCC travellers, the city presents significant growth opportunities for organised quick service restaurant (QSR) brands. The new outlet at Lulu Mall further strengthens Chinese Wok's growing presence in Kerala.
South India continues to be a key focus market for the company, and the latest expansion aligns with its cluster-led growth strategy aimed at building scale and enhancing market penetration across emerging cities.
Speaking on the launch, Arvind R P, Chief Executive Officer, Lenexis Foodworks, said, “Calicut is an important market in our South India growth journey, with a young and evolving consumer base that increasingly values organised dining experiences. The city’s vibrant food culture and strong demand for quality, affordable meals make it a natural fit for Chinese Wok. We are delighted to bring our signature Desi Chinese offerings to Calicut as we continue strengthening our presence across Kerala and South India. Our focus remains on democratising Desi Chinese cuisine by delivering great taste, value, quality and consistency through a disciplined and scalable expansion strategy.”
