Homegrown footwear brand Yoho has secured fresh funding from a combination of new and existing investors as it gears up for its next growth phase, with a sharper focus on offline retail expansion and the performance running segment. The company did not disclose the size of the investment round.
The Delhi-based startup had earlier raised ₹27 crore in a Pre-Series A funding round in 2022 from investors including Gulf Islamic Investments, Rajeev Misra, Rukam Capital, and Vijay Shekhar Sharma.
Founded in 2021 by Ahmad Hushsham and Prateek Singhal, Yoho has sold more than 3 million pairs of footwear through its direct-to-consumer platform and online marketplaces such as Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, Ajio, and Nykaa. Its products are also available on quick commerce platforms including Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart.
As part of its retail expansion plans, Yoho aims to strengthen its presence across tier I and tier II markets by partnering with 2,500 multi-brand outlets while also growing its exclusive brand outlet network. The company plans to integrate AI-enabled solutions across stores to enhance footwear fitting, minimise product returns, and improve inventory efficiency.
The brand is also doubling down on its performance running category after the response to its Catapult with Carbonburst™ running shoes, designed specifically for marathon runners.
India’s sneaker and athleisure market continues to expand rapidly, driven by rising demand for comfort-led and performance-oriented footwear among younger consumers. Yoho is looking to deepen its presence in this space through a blend of design innovation, comfort, and functionality.
Commenting on the investment, Pankaj Gupta of Gulf Islamic Investments (GII) said, “In a cluttered market, true differentiation is everything. Ahmad and Prateek demonstrated exactly that — a sharp, distinctive perspective on a massive opportunity that immediately aligned with GII's investment thesis.”
Yoho, which caters to both men and women, offers a range of casual and formal footwear with a focus on blending comfort, style, and performance.
