Ahmedabad has become the latest market in ECCO’s India retail expansion, with the Danish premium footwear brand opening its 10th store at Phoenix Palladium. The new outlet strengthens the brand’s retail presence in Gujarat and adds to its growing footprint across the country.
Spread across a contemporary retail space, the store follows ECCO’s global design language, combining clean aesthetics with premium finishes and a straightforward shopping layout. It features dedicated sections for men’s and women’s footwear, along with central product displays, seating areas and a separate leather-goods section.
An LED wall showcases ECCO’s product stories and brand imagery, while warm wood finishes, white merchandising walls, black architectural accents and focused track lighting give the space a modern yet welcoming feel. The façade incorporates backlit ECCO branding and an LED display, creating a distinct presence within the mall while staying aligned with the brand’s global retail format.
Commenting on the milestone, Sumeet Lohia, Country Manager, ECCO India, said:
“The opening of our 10th store in India is an important milestone in ECCO’s growth journey in the country. Ahmedabad is a key market for us as we continue to connect with consumers who are increasingly looking for quality, comfort and contemporary design in their footwear choices. With our new store at Phoenix Palladium, we are bringing ECCO’s global retail experience closer to consumers in the city while further strengthening our presence in Gujarat. As we expand our retail network, our focus remains on building a strong, long-term brand in India through thoughtful expansion and a product proposition rooted in craftsmanship, innovation and comfort.”
The new Ahmedabad outlet brings together ECCO’s portfolio of men’s and women’s footwear with a selection of leather goods. The range combines the brand’s Danish design heritage with premium materials and its proprietary shoemaking technologies.
A key part of ECCO’s operating model is its vertically integrated value chain, giving the company control over several stages of the business, from leather production and manufacturing to retail. This approach supports its focus on product quality, craftsmanship and continued innovation.
Since entering India in 2019, ECCO has gradually expanded its presence across leading retail destinations. The opening at Phoenix Palladium, Ahmedabad, marks its 10th store in the country and represents another step in making its premium footwear range accessible to a wider consumer base.
India continues to be viewed as a long-term growth market for the brand. ECCO plans to build its retail presence at a measured pace, with a focus on maintaining consistency in its product offering and global brand experience across Indian stores.
