The commercial papers are "proposed to be listed on the BSE", said Avenue Supermarts in a regulatory filing. According to the company, the papers, which will have a tenure of 90 days, were allotted on September 8, 2026, and are due to mature on December 7, 2026, the filing said.
The instrument carries a coupon of 6.40 per cent, with the coupon and principal payable on the date of maturity, according to the disclosure.
Avenue Supermarts had last month approved a fresh investment of up to Rs 500 crore in its online grocery subsidiary, Avenue E-Commerce, which operates under the brand name DMart Ready.
It operates over 500 stores.
Promoted by Radhakishan Damani and his family, DMart retails basic home and personal products across markets, which include Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, NCR, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Rajasthan.
