The Fern Hotels & Resorts is expanding its footprint in Eastern India with the signing of a new property in Deoghar. The upcoming The Fern Resort & Spa Deoghar underscores the group’s strategy to capitalise on destinations witnessing a steady rise in tourism alongside improving infrastructure.
The project is set to reinforce the brand’s presence in a market long associated with pilgrimage travel, but increasingly evolving to attract leisure and experience-driven visitors.

Developed in partnership with Vama Ventures, the project highlights the growing collaboration between hospitality operators and regional developers to accelerate infrastructure growth across Tier II and Tier III markets.

Planned as a 101-key development, the property is designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers. It will feature an all-day dining restaurant alongside a poolside lounge restaurant and bar, aimed at serving in-house guests as well as the local market seeking vibrant dining and social experiences.
With an expected opening in the first half of 2029, the project reflects sustained confidence in the growth potential of Deoghar. The development aligns with a wider industry shift, where hotel operators are increasingly targeting culturally significant yet underpenetrated destinations to broaden revenue streams and tap into emerging demand segments.
