Tasva, the men’s occasion wear brand from Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (ABFRL) in collaboration with celebrated designer Tarun Tahiliani, has opened its second flagship store in Kolkata, signaling a deeper push into East India’s premium ethnic wear market.
Located on RashBehari Avenue, the new 2,500 sq. ft. store showcases Tasva’s full festive and wedding collection, including kurtas, bundis, indowesterns, bandhgalas, and sherwanis. The store’s interiors reflect the brand’s design philosophy — a seamless fusion of Indian tradition and modern sophistication aimed at the contemporary Indian man.
Ashish Mukul, Brand Head at Tasva, emphasized that the new outlet was crafted to deliver a luxurious and seamless retail experience. “We wanted our new store in Kolkata to stand as a reflection of the brand’s ethos – an embodiment of style, tradition, and craftsmanship. The design and layout were carefully curated to offer a unique Tasva experience,” he said.
The opening featured Bollywood actor Shantanu Maheshwari, a Kolkata native, who highlighted the emotional significance of launching the store ahead of the city’s festive season. “It’s a special feeling to be here in Kolkata, especially with Durga Puja just around the corner. Whether it’s for Pujo or a wedding, Tasva’s outfits allow men to celebrate in style without compromising on comfort,” he said.
Kolkata’s deep cultural roots and reputation as a fashion-forward city played a key role in Tasva’s decision to open a second flagship location here. “The city’s discerning clientele have consistently appreciated our craftsmanship and quality. Strengthening our presence in Kolkata was a natural next step,” Mukul added.
The new launch adds to Tasva’s expanding footprint in East India, which already includes outlets on Elgin Road in Kolkata, as well as in Patna, Bhubaneswar, and Guwahati.
Tasva continues to position itself as a go-to brand for modern Indian men seeking premium ethnic wear for celebrations, combining comfort, elegance, and heritage craftsmanship.
