VG Angels and its investor network have backed Clog London, a mass-premium footwear brand focused on India's tier 2 and tier 3 cities, in a seed funding round. The company did not disclose the deal size.
Gopal Kishan Rathor founded the company in 2018, and it now runs a retail-first omnichannel model with stores in Jhansi, Gandhidham, Karnal, Noida, Bareilly and Delhi. More locations are in the pipeline.
Clog London plans to use the new funds to expand its retail footprint, strengthen inventory and grow its product portfolio, with a goal of crossing 100 stores as it works to establish itself as a leading mass-premium footwear player.
The brand is positioning itself between global labels and unorganised local sellers, offering style, comfort and affordability to aspirational shoppers in emerging markets.
