Reliance Consumer Products Limited, the FMCG subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, has entered into a joint venture with Nigeria-based Tropical General Investments to expand its presence in one of Africa’s largest consumer markets.
Reliance Industries Limited, led by Mukesh Ambani, has entered into a definitive agreement to establish a majority-owned joint venture with TGI Group, subject to customary legal and regulatory approvals.
Through the joint venture, Reliance Consumer Products Limited will roll out a broad range of its FMCG portfolio in Nigeria, drawing on TGI Group’s well-established manufacturing capabilities and extensive distribution network.
The joint venture with TGI Group will be a pivotal milestone in RCPL’s journey towards becoming a global FMCG player, T. Krishnakumar, Director of RCPL said. The company already has a presence in international markets across the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa.
The company aims to establish itself as a leading global FMCG company from India and offer global quality products at affordable prices, and "this will be instrumental in expanding RCPL’s market presence globally as we enter the crucial market of Nigeria, Krishnakumar said.
