MakeMyTrip delivered its strongest-ever annual performance in FY26, achieving record gross bookings despite a volatile travel environment shaped by multiple external disruptions.
The online travel platform surpassed the $10 billion mark in annual gross bookings for the first time, reflecting sustained demand across key travel segments and deeper adoption of its expanding digital ecosystem.
The company also reported steady growth in revenue, operating profitability, and booking volumes across major business categories, with artificial intelligence-driven customer engagement tools playing an increasingly important role in enhancing user experience.
For FY26, gross bookings stood at $10.4 billion, marking a 10.4 percent increase on a constant currency basis, while revenue rose 10.7 percent year-on-year to $1 billion. Adjusted operating profit reached $189 million, and profit from operating activities increased to $156 million, reflecting approximately 30 percent growth.
In the March quarter, gross bookings were recorded at $2.5 billion, with revenue at $250 million. Adjusted operating profit for the quarter stood at $46.5 million, supported by resilient travel demand despite macroeconomic challenges.
Performance during the year was driven by expansion across multiple travel verticals, strengthening the company’s position in India’s online travel market. Double-digit growth in adjusted margins was reported across all major segments, with bus ticketing leading performance, followed by hotels and holiday packages, while air ticketing also registered healthy growth.
Ancillary services and other travel-related offerings continued to scale rapidly, contributing meaningfully to overall expansion. The management also highlighted the growing impact of artificial intelligence in driving efficiency and improving customer engagement.
The company’s AI-powered assistant, Myra, recorded more than 54,000 daily interactions during the March quarter, with increasing engagement from tier-II and smaller cities. It also automated a significant share of post-booking queries, resolving over half of flight and hotel-related customer issues during the period.
Overall, MakeMyTrip’s FY26 performance underscores strong underlying demand in India’s travel sector, supported by diversified offerings, improving profitability metrics, and expanding use of AI-led customer solutions.
