Jewellery brand Kisna Diamond and Gold Jewellery, part of the Hari Krishna Group, has announced plans to add 1,200 employees during the 2025–26 financial year as it accelerates its retail expansion and strengthens organisational capabilities across India.
The proposed hiring follows a strong recruitment drive in FY25, during which Kisna added around 1,000 employees across retail operations and corporate functions. The continued workforce expansion is aimed at supporting the company’s growing store network, omnichannel initiatives, and evolving consumer engagement strategies.
According to Parag Shah, Managing Director of Kisna Diamond and Gold Jewellery, changing consumer preferences—particularly among Gen Z customers and modern women—are reshaping the jewellery market. He said the company’s talent strategy is aligned with these shifts, with a focus on building capabilities in emerging areas such as contemporary jewellery design, data-led decision-making, digital commerce, and influencer-driven brand storytelling, while also reinforcing leadership and frontline retail teams.
Kisna’s manufacturing backbone remains a key pillar of its operations. The brand currently employs more than 1,700 people at its Surat-based manufacturing facility, which supports design, production, and quality control across its jewellery portfolio. The company said continued investment in skilled craftsmanship remains critical as it scales its retail presence nationwide.
Ghanshyam Dholakia, Founder and Managing Director of the Hari Krishna Group, said people remain central to the company’s long-term growth strategy. He noted that expanding the workforce is essential to sustaining trust, craftsmanship, and consistency as Kisna increases its reach across Indian markets. The planned hiring, he added, reflects the Group’s commitment to strengthening internal capabilities while advancing its vision of making fine diamond and gold jewellery more accessible to Indian consumers.
Kisna has been expanding steadily across physical retail and digital platforms, positioning itself to cater to both traditional buyers and younger, design-conscious consumers. With its focus on talent development alongside network growth, the company aims to support long-term scalability while adapting to the rapidly changing dynamics of India’s jewellery market.
