Karthik Balagopalan has exited his role as PUMA India MD
After a long association with PUMA since 2006, Karthik Balagopalan has stepped down as Managing Director of PUMA India. He had taken charge of the India business after leading the brand globally across retail and e-commerce.

Karthik Balagopalan has stepped down from his role as Managing Director of PUMA India to focus on family priorities in Germany.

Balagopalan, who has been associated with the German sportswear major since 2006, took charge of PUMA’s India business after serving as the brand’s Global Director for Retail and E-Commerce. Over his nearly two-decade tenure, he held several leadership positions across retail operations and business development, both in India and at the global level.

His deep understanding of the Indian consumer landscape and expertise in direct-to-consumer strategy helped strengthen PUMA’s position in one of its fastest-growing markets.

Balagopalan had succeeded Abhishek Ganguly, who led PUMA India for nearly a decade before moving on to launch his own entrepreneurial venture.
